The Fanwood Environmental Commission sponsored our first annual Build-a-Birdhouse Contest. Birdhouses had to be hand-made with bird-friendly material, had to be able to withstand weather conditions for at least one year and include a suitable mounting mechanism. Birdhouses were used in the Fanwood Nature Center. Click here to view slideshow of birdhouses being hung in the Nature Center. The prize winners in each of the two categories were:
